Holy Origin

The Holy Land is traditionally synonymous with the biblical Land of Israel. The Holy Land has long been and still is a pilgrimage destination for all believers in the G d of Abraham .

The holiness of the land as a destination of Christian pilgrimage contributed to launching the Crusades, as European Christians sought to win back the Holy Land from Muslims, who had conquered it from the Christian Eastern Roman Empire in the 630s.

Many sites in the Holy Land have long been pilgrimage destinations for adherents of the Abrahamic religions, including Jews, Chr istians, Muslims, and Baháʼís Pilgrims visit the Holy Land to touch and see physical manifestations of their faith, to confirm their beliefs in the holy context with collective excitation, and to connect personally to the Holy Land.

Professor Eliezer Schweid , a distinguished summed it up best: "The uniqueness of the Land of Israel is...'geo theological' and not merely climatic. This is the land which faces the entrance of the spiritual world, that sphere of existence that lies be yond the physical world known to us through our senses. This is the key to the land's unique status with regard to prophecy and prayer".

The fact of the existent of Gems in the Holy Land of Israel, were already established and written more than 3,000 years ago in the Holy Bible;

Like when Moses' promise that the Holy Land is full of natural treasures beyond measure (Deuteronomy 8:7 ):

" For the Lord your God is bringing you to a good land, a land with brooks of water, fountains and depths, that emerge in valle ys and mountains, a land of wheat and barley, vines and figs and pomegranates, a land of oil producing olives and honey, a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, you will lack nothing in it, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose mountains yo u w ill hew copper "

Or in the Isaiah's prophecy that Jerusalem will be paved with precious gems (Isaiah 54:11):

" Behold I will set your stones with carbuncle, and I will lay your foundations with sapphires. And I will make your windows of jasper and your gates of carbuncle stones, and all your border of precious stones "

The Visionary

Although there are many verses in the Bible that indicate the presence of precious gems in the Holy Land of Israel, no one in documented history has ever thought of mining for precious gems in the Holy Land, especially in light of the geological information that was known about the area, that is until 1988

That is until 1988 , when the grand rabbi & international spiritual leader, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, revealed to the world that precious gems do exist in the Holy Land, and indicated the precise area "in the valley of Haife ", and amazingly stated that:

"God Almighty Did a Wondrous Thing, He Himself Concealed Them In The Depths Of The Earth."

This revelation led to the establishment of the first mining company in the world (Shefa in Israel (G.M.) Ltd), by the late Mr. Abraham Taub, who decided, in a bold and unprecedented move, to start exploration for precious gems in Northern Israel as indicated by the holy Rabbi.

As it turns out, even the greatest skeptics had to admit that the Rebbe was right... when, as of today, the mining company is holding the rights to the first deposit of precious gems ever discovered and officially declared in the Holy Land Israel Israel.

We would not have dreamed of looking for precious gems in the Holy Land (given the information that was at the time) if not for the vision of this monumental worldwide spiritual leader.

Menachem Mendel Schneerson , known to many as the Lubavitcher Rebbe or simply as THE REBBE, is considered one of the most influential Jewish leaders of the 20 th century, and had great influence on numerous political leaders from across the world, many of whom (including, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Senators, Congressmen and Mayors) would seek his advice.

In 1978 , the U.S. Congress, by President Jimmy Carter designated the Rebbe s birthday as the National Education and Sharing Day, which calls for increased focus on education, and recognizes the lifelong efforts of the Rebbe for education.
